There were years I struggled silently with my health, researched products and ingredients late at night, and wished there was one place that made all of this feel easier to navigate.

That’s a big part of why I built Feather & Nest to be what it is today.

I wanted to create the kind of resource that helps simplify low-tox living, healthier swaps, and trusted product recommendations without people having to spend hours researching everything themselves.

And honestly… quitting has never really entered my mind.

I didn’t realize my morning coffee was making my energy worse.

I used to rely on coffee every morning
but I’d hit that midday crash… hard.

I was exhausted by 5pm.
and then wide awake again around 2am.

Switching to mushroom coffee was one of the simplest changes I made
but it made a bigger difference than I expected.

More stable energy, way less crashing,
and my sleep actually started to regulate.

I didn’t have to completely give up caffeine or that warm morning routine I love.

I just changed it to something that supports my body more and helps keep my energy and blood sugar more stable throughout the day.

If you’ve been feeling drained or crashing halfway through the day
this might be something to look into.

This used to be the easiest option

but it’s also one of the easiest things to start switching
especially for gatherings.

I didn’t change everything at once

I started with plastic food storage
then switched to glass
and slowly added better options from there.

We’re heading into summer and more time spent outside
hosting, traveling, and gathering.

This is one of the simplest places to start.

This is what eating looks like for me right now… and why my energy feels so much more stable.

I needed to keep things simple, but still filling.
Meals that were easy to build on depending on what I was craving.

As a busy working mom, I was constantly grabbing quick options, eating out more, and just trying to get through the day.

But I started noticing it.

The crashes.
The blood sugar swings.
My stomach just feeling off.

I would feel okay after eating… and then crash not long after.

So I simplified everything.

Now I spend 2 days a week prepping meat I can use however I need.

Breakfast is usually eggs. Sometimes with sausage, steak, or chicken.

During the day, I keep it simple. Things like chicken strips and a nut bar so I’m not constantly buying food out.

When I get home, I’ll throw together a salad with what I already prepped. Dinner just builds off that.

Nothing complicated. Just meals that actually keep me full and support my energy.

If you’re crashing after meals or constantly hungry, this is where I would start.

Comment FOOD and I’ll send you a few of the staples I keep on hand.

Spring resets usually start with cleaning

but what you clean with matters just as much.

if you’re already restocking or replacing products this season,
this is the easiest place to start.

Being a busy working mom at 39 means I have to be really intentional about how I support my body — physically, mentally, and hormonally.

These are 5 things that keep me strong and sane in this season of life:

Strength training — but listening to my body. Some days I lift heavier, other days I prioritize lighter weights, mobility, and movement that supports my energy instead of draining it.

Red light therapy before bed. This has been one of my favorite ways to calm inflammation, support recovery, and help my body wind down at night.

Vitamin D3 + K2 — always testing my levels first. Women’s levels tend to dip more during winter months due to lower sun exposure, which can impact mood, immunity, and hormone health.

Alice Magnesium Chocolates- A simple and enjoyable way to support magnesium intake — something many women are low in, especially when stress, poor sleep, or hormone shifts are involved.

Cortisol Manager — a supplement I lean on during high-stress seasons to help regulate cortisol levels, especially when sleep feels disrupted or my nervous system feels overstimulated.

These supportive tools make a noticeable difference in how I feel day to day — in my strength, mood, and resilience. (You can also test this regularly)

Everything I use is linked in my shop under Wellness Tools + Medicine Cabinet.

You are not imagining it.

That kind of exhaustion… where your body feels heavy, your battery won't recharge, and nothing feels consistent. It’s real.

I’ve been there.

There were months I couldn’t even do this.
My body just didn’t have the capacity.

Hormones off.
Gut issues.
Inflammation.
Constant fatigue that didn’t make sense.

And for a long time, I thought I just needed to push through it.

But what I actually needed was to start listening.

To support my body instead of fighting it.
To look deeper instead of guessing.
To rebuild, slowly.

This didn’t come from doing more.
It came from doing things differently.

And this... being able to move consistently, to feel stronger again —
this is what that looks like for me now.

If your body has been feeling off for a while, you’re not alone.
And it’s worth paying attention to what it’s trying to tell you.

💬 Comment “EXHAUSTED” if you’ve ever felt like your body just isn’t keeping up
🤍 Save this for the days you need the reminder

Switching to a less toxic deodorant is one of the easiest personal care upgrades you can make.

Conventional deodorants often contain ingredients like synthetic fragrance, aluminum compounds, and preservatives that many people prefer to avoid.

Two low-tox options I recommend for men:

Hygiene Lab — made specifically for men. It goes on clear, applies smoothly, and uses essential oils plus saccharomyces ferment to help support freshness throughout the day.

Primally Pure Charcoal — great for odor absorption and skin support with organic tallow, beeswax, charcoal, and vitamin E.

Both are simple formulas designed to support reliable odor control without the typical deodorant additives found in many conventional brands.

You can find both in my Instagram Shop and in my Low-Tox Marketplace.
