🛡️ Windshield Monday: Picking the RIGHT height (F4 Customs Buyer’s Guide)

One of the biggest “why didn’t I do this sooner” upgrades is the right windshield height — it can cut wind fatigue, reduce buffeting, and make highway rides way more enjoyable.

✅ How to choose your height (fast + easy)
1. Sit in your Slingshot in normal posture
2. Look straight ahead — ideally, you’re seeing just over the top edge or through the top third
3. If you ride with a helmet often, add about +1 inch to your estimate
4. If you’re running (or adding) a roof, use the pairings below

📏 Quick height breakdown (F4 Customs)

Stock height: similar to older OEM height; great if you like stock height but want F4 clarity/durability
+3: more protection while still looking over the shield
+5: awesome for longer rides; most people look through this one
+7: popular with tops/roofs; more coverage while keeping some airflow options
+9: maximum wind protection; a favorite with roofs/top setups

🧩 If you have a roof (proven pairings)

Twist Dynamics roofs+ Common aftermarket roofs (Canvas Frame + Gullwing): +9 for full coverage, or +7 if you still want a light breeze

Stock Polaris roofs: +7 for full coverage, or +5 if you want some wind and a lower profile

🌙 Clear vs Tint?

Clear: best for night riding + all-conditions visibility

Tint: reduces glare; F4 tint is 15% (still usable looking through it at night for many riders)
