🎙️ Recently I had several powerful conversations with Quintin Carlos Sullivan-Torres on his Nervous System Training podcast (link below). Quintin is a disciple of the Marinovich system. He is a leader in promoting Specialized Fitness and a performance based style of neuromuscular training. Quintin and I have known each other for almost a decade and having been talking about collaborating for a few years. This will be the first of at least several more podcasts we have planned.
What I appreciated most about this conversation was Quintin’s depth of thinking and curiosity. He’s not just chasing tactics or trends. He’s genuinely interested in first principles, long-term development, and building systems that actually hold up under real-world stress. That’s rare.
We talked about my journey as a physical therapist and performance coach. From working in high-level sports medicine environments, to my early exposure and involvement with the Marinovich Training Systems, where movement was never about muscles in isolation, but about integration, timing, and force transmission through the whole system.
That foundation eventually led me to develop The Strong Angle Way. A principle-based framework for optimizing how humans move, train, recover, and perform by identifying where effort leaks… and how to restore alignment, connection, and coordination across the entire kinetic chain.
We also explored why so many driven people are grinding harder than ever yet getting worse results. How that realization became the backbone of my book which distills decades of clinical practice, performance work, and real-world testing into a practical operating system.
If you care about Wellness, Fitness or Performance ans systems that scale instead of breaking under pressure. If you are interested in Performance principles that actually transfer to life
This is a conversation you’ll enjoy.
