A mailbox-post I made.. for personal use in Cazadero California..
It was a Japanese joinery type project using Redwood, Wenge, and Purple Heart. All of which are naturally well suited for outdoor use and termite resistance.
A tusk-joint is used secure the crosspiece. The further the wedge is driven into the cross piece, the tighter the joint becomes. No metal fasteners were used.

Reminiscing about this project.
It's an awesome feeling to be recognized for all the time, effort, and love I put into my projects.
Everything was hand cut from scratch on this one. The eyes of each fish were cut from three different pieces, and about the size of a pencil eraser overall.

Just a little 3500 square foot project we hand-scraped onsite and finished with the deadly glitsa goldseal conversion varnish in satin sheen and some spice brown stain. This project was completed in 2012 and i came back about 4 weeks ago to maintain the floor with an additional coat. Still looks great!
Floor was textured & finished in place onsite as it was existing. Myself and six others made this possible.

The project we finished in Napa was a victim to the recent fires. Read about it in Architectural Digest follow the link below.
We spent over a year working on this project and three years from start to finish including bidding. I lost my best employee ever during this project due to lymphoma. By the time this project was complete I was drained mentally and physically. Lots of long nights, weekends, holidays, blood, sweat, and tears.

Anonymous Client, Geyserville.
This is a home we did where a dishwasher had leaked and caused significant damage to the wood floor. Boards were removed and replaced after the damage had dried back to normal moisture content. The entire kitchen area and pantry were re-textured and re-finished. The texture had to be spot on in order to match up to the rest of the house and I am very happy to say we nailed it! The texture is coarse, stain is custom, and finish was solvent based. All work was performed using manual type tools or by hand.
After the kitchen repair we were called back for another room upstairs. We will eventually go through the whole home room by room.
*We also replaced the base shoe with new after the floor was completely finished. The second stage of this project was completed in August of this year.
