Happy foraging Friday! Last weekend, Scott and a friend went foraging in Salt Point State Park and found some MASSIVE Porcini mushrooms!

Porcini mushrooms (aka KING BOLETES) are incredibly delicious and highly sought after because of how hard they are to grow commercially. They require a symbiotic relationship with tree roots to grow properly, so there’s a very narrow timeframe to harvest them!

Luckily for Scott, he hit the jackpot! 🎰🍄‍🟫

Our Staff BBQ’s have become a regular occurrence and a wonderful way to build team spirit between our Left Coast Wholesale and teams. With the gorgeous Sonoma County weather, we’ve been setting up our back warehouse yard with a ping pong table, frisbee golf and corn hole. Top that off with a delicious catered meal and we’ve got ourselves a fun afternoon!

Our meal this month was catered by Rob Hogencamp at . We’re blessed to make relations with this local company for a variety of reasons. Not only did Rob work with us to get the right menu for our staff, he also took some of the Lion’s Mane grown in our mycology lab and made out-of-this-world “crab” cakes, specifically designed with our vegan staff mycologist in mind. We had quite a spread and will definitely be going back!

Shoutout to Mile Hydro in Lakewood, Colorado! Established in 2008, Mile High Horticultural Supply (MileHydro) is now the oldest independent grow store in Colorado. We've been partners with MileHydro and George Archambault, their owner, since 2014. We recently worked with them as they expanded their selection of mushroom cultivation supplies, including the Bella Bora still-air-box in the video.
