A little sneak peak at the new location from the past few weeks. My team and I have been burning the midnight oil trying to get the new location dialed in for opening. Still targeting sometime in mid or late May, but we all know how these things go.

It’s been great meeting and reconnecting with so many of you at the original location as well! Even if I am looking a little scattered at the moment.

It’s spring and that means more new bikes are arriving at the shop (yes, we’re open at the original location!). We added an extra medium Ibis Ripley AF to our demo fleet and have a limited size run on the floor, including this Large Ripmo AF in beautiful raw aluminum.

Hard to find fault: Lyrik fork, Maven brakes, wide rims and Eagle 90 crank, and in-frame storage.

BIG NEWS SANTA FE

We believe bikes bind us together and after 18 years of keeping this city rolling, Mike Chapman is passing the keys to longtime riding buddy and shop friend Kyle Klain. It is now official.

None of this happens without the people behind the counter and wrenching at the bench. The staff and mechanics at the Broken Spoke have given this place its soul, kept Santa Fe riding through 26 to 27.5 to 29 (oh shoot, maybe 32 now??) and a pandemic, and they are not going anywhere. Neither is Mike for a little bit yet. We still got a lot of work ahead of us.

We think most of you already know Kyle. He was a big part of the SFFTS for a long time, he has been shooting and writing for The Radavist, and has been hanging around this shop working on projects long enough that this just feels…right. Come by and say hello!

More big news in the works: we are moving the shop to the Railyard this May! In the meantime there are serious deals on bikes and gear all April while we prep for the move. Come by, shake some hands, and grab a seriously good deal so we don’t have to move it.

This is just the beginning. We’re excited to have you join us for the ride.
