Once a trees root system is established the foliage above can regrow over and over again. We tend to these stumps at least twice a year, insuring proper growth.
This stump is one of the few that survived the fire, and it will continue to grow for years to come.
During our recovery we pulled out old root systems like this, that had roots 20ft+ long! These roots gave clues to the true age of the tree.
As we replant, our goal is to provide healthy, happy growing conditions for the trees to root deep and thrive.
When you come and cut a tree leave a branch or 2 on the bottom, so those roots survive and the tree can regrow.
It’s curious to consider that some trees & plants are older than they appear above ground. Plants are truly amazing!
