Teachers, we know it's the end of the school year, and you are probably not thinking about your classroom library right now (but we will take any books you would like to donate to us!). When the time comes to refresh your library, please keep in mind that you get a 10% discount when you show your teacher id at any of our book sales. This can be a great way to save a few dollars when you are buying books for your classrooms.

Your tax dollars support the Santa Clara City Library, but the Foundation and Friends provides the funds to make the library truly extraordinary. You can support us by becoming a Friends Member! It's inexpensive - $25 per year for a family - and you get benefits like 10% off the Friends of the Library Bookstore at the Central Park Library, and special shopping hours during our big monthly book sale.

Studies show that children who grow up in a house with 80 or more books have improved literacy skills. But getting those books - and keeping your kids interested in the books you have - can be expensive.

The Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends can help! Get new-to-you books for only a couple dollars each at any of our book sales! We have, roughly, four book sales every month during the summer months, and we always send email ahead of time. Sign up for our email list to be notified of our sales, so you and your loved ones always have a robust home library!
