The Outgrown Shop will be CLOSED for the Labor Day weekend. Sounds like it might be a good opportunity to go out for some ice cream!

Remember - many items we use then throw out were made with human labor. Think twice about tossing reusable things out - The Outgrown Shop accepts gently used items in the shop every weekend from 10 am until 3 pm.

The items you donate help support St. Justin Community Ministry program. We help out those who have jobs yet still find it difficult to make ends meet living in the Bay Area and we help our unhoused folks by giving clothes and food to them - many of them have very little. Your support allows us to continue to this mission.

We're taking donations of a variety of gently used items except clothes and shoes. Please hold off on giving clothes and shoes to us for a bit longer until we process what we already have.

This Saturday, April 22 marks the celebration of Earth Day. First held on April 22, 1970, it's a chance to remind ourselves how tiny and fragile our home earth is and to take action to protect our environment. Among the ways you can participate include:

Support and use recycling programs in your community.
Volunteer to clean up local parks and streets on clean-up days.
Support and frequent green businesses.
Use re-usable products versus disposable.
Repurpose items that have outworn their use.
Shop secondhand and thrift stores for gently used items.
Use energy-efficient appliances or line dry your clothes.
Walk or ride your bike to work if possible.
Carpool or make one trip instead of multiple trips for shopping.

Please stop in at The Outgrown Shop any Saturday or Sunday 10am to 4pm. We have lots of previously loved items. You go home with something new-to-you while supporting the St. Justin Community Ministry.
