ashu’s has always been about my mom, aysha.

her eye, her taste, the way she moves through the world. it’s in every part of this. she taught me that love is an action, expressed through the way you care for people, spaces, and the details others might miss.

i think that’s what so many mothers do. they shape the way we see the world without even realizing it, and so much of who we become comes from them.

building ashu’s together has given me some of my favorite memories with her. cups of matcha before the day begins, long train rides through japan, and all the small moments in between.

getting to do this with my mom is everything.
