Good evening! It's October 30th, and a rainy Friday night! I don't know about you, but if it's going to rain, I'm going to read! I have a fantastic new gallery of secondhand arrivals!

As usual, these will be available on a first come, first served basis tomorrow morning, but if you see anything you like, just fire off a quick comment below, and a half an hour after we open tomorrow morning, I'll check to see if there are any requests, and will pull them and put them aside for you!

We'll have a bowl of candy in the store tomorrow for any ghouls or goblins that wander in. I hope to see you tomorrow in the store, and if you're taking trick or treaters out tomorrow night, I hope you have a ghasty good time!

It's Friday night, and Friday night is Preview Night! I'm particularly excited about this batch of books because I have a few favorites on the shelf this week!

Everything will be available on a first come, first served basis, but if you see something that you'd like, and can't make it into the shop Saturday morning to grab it, just let me know in the comments below, and at 10:30, I'll look through them and pull any requested titles and will put them on hold for you!

Hello, Printed Garden family!

It's Tuesday night, October 16th, and I've built a new gallery of secondhand books for your perusal!

As usual, these items will all be available on a first come, first served basis, but if you see anything you're interested in, just mention it in a comment below. At 10:30, I'll run through the comments and pull anything that's been requested, and will put it aside for you.

It's worth mentioning, because Brandon Sanderson's signed book normally command a premium price, that the copies of Songs of the Dead that you see in the video that have been signed by both Brandon Sanderson and Peter Orullian are not marked up, and are just the regular retail price.

Thank you for being a part of life at The Printed Garden! The shelves have finally been restocked after FanX, and I hope to see you soon!

Good evening, Bookish Friends!

It's Friday night, October 9th (John Lennon's birthday!), and I have a new collection of secondhand arrivals to show you.

As usual, everything is available on a first come, first served basis for the first thirty minutes, but if you see anything that catches your eye, let me know in the comments and at 10:30, I'll run through the comments and will pull any requests and put them on hold.

We're a week past 2026 FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, and I rolled back into town from the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association Fall Discovery Show Wednesday night, and I have to say I'm back in the place where I'm happiest . . . in the bookstore!

All the FanX stuff is cleaned up, and the bookstore looks like a bookstore again! I can't wait to see you in the shop!

Good evening, friends!

I've spent the week processing out all of the overstock books from 2026 FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention and, for the most part, the bookstore is beginning to look like a bookstore again! I have about three more cases to put together and a bunch of cardboard to pick up and the back of the store will look as good as the front does!

I haven't been out hunting great new titles for the black gallery by the front door, but we did have some of our FanX guest authors sign books that I could bring back to the store! These are on the top of the black shelf, and they're just cover price!

Next week, The Printed Garden will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, as I'll be attending the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association Fall Discovery Show in Denver. Ryan and I hit the road early on Sunday morning, and will come rolling back into Salt Lake City Wednesday evening. I'll be back in the store Thursday morning, keeping regular hours for the foreseeable future. I appreciate your patience! This show gives me a really good look at the best new books that will be released in the first half of 2027 so I can display the best of it in the store!

We're back from FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, and have some extra copies of Songs of the Dead that have been signed by both Brandon Sanderson and Peter Orullian at The Printed Garden!

No lottery, no waiting in line, no mark-up while our supply lasts!

Not the usual post?

It's Friday night, September 18th, and we've been preparing for 2026 FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention all week - well . . . actually for a couple months, but the last week is always the most intense!

In 2018, The Printed Garden became the official on-site bookseller of FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, and we've been rocking it ever since. Next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, September 22nd through September 24th, The Printed Garden and Daybreak Records will be closed. Tuesday we'll be loading in at The Salt Palace downtown. Wednesday, we'll spend the better part of the day building a little mini-Printed Garden in The Salt Palace, and Thursday morning, all the fun begins! We'll be hosting 3-4 authors every hour at our booth for book signings, all three days!

A complete listing of authors who we'll be hosting this year at FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention can be found on our website www.theprintedgarden.com.

My Father-in-Law and daughter will be in the store next Friday, and David, Chucky, and Easton have very generously offered to keep the bookstore open on Friday and Saturday in addition to their usual work at Daybreak records, so you'll be in good hands if you drop by next Friday or Saturday.

DIFFERENT HOURS NEXT WEEK!

If you've joined us some time during the last year, in 2018 The Printed Garden became the official on-site bookseller for FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention. Next week, the bookstore will be closed Tuesday, September 22nd, through Thursday, September 24th, while we load in to The Salt Palace and, essentially, build a little bookstore inside!

Previous years, we've been closed the entire week, but David, Chucky, and Easton will be in the store on Friday and Saturday, and have offered to keep the bookstore open those two days, as well!
