WOW! What a weekend. Final day for the good ole tackle shop was yesterday but today was amzing. As we boxed moved all the remaining items from the shop, we talked about old memories, even before my time. What a legend this little tackle shop was in Sandy. The building was finally empty and as I walked through for a finaly look and turned the lights off for the last time, tears came to my eyes with so many wonderful thoughts and wonerful people. I will miss hearing the words "you got fresh sandshrimp?" I bless you all and wish you happy fishing.

Today was a sad day. Seeing things leaving the shop but enjoying the home that they are going to. Next Saturday will be the final day for the shop even though I will be there Sunday packing and moving what remains. No one has come by to pick up their photos yet and I really don't want to see 20 years of memories go away. If someone would like to pick them up and make an album it would be great. Maybe the museum would like some more historical memories. LOL. Hope to see you all next Saturday to our final day, purchases or not, you are always welcome. Wendy

Remember folks, The Reel Tackle Shop will be open tomorrow, Monday, as well as next Saturday. I will be spending the day Sunday packing and moving the remaining of the shop out of the building. All pictures are now down so if you would like yours, please be sure to pick them up by Saturday since they will not be coming home with me. If not, at least come on by and say good-bye to the old tackle shop as I know it will be missed by many.

Great turnout today at the shop, but there is still a lot of tackle, rods/reels that need to go. That’s not all that needs to go, but all the shelving, rod building materials, reel winder, refrigerators, cash register, microwave, desk, file cabinets, you name it, it has to go. The shop has to be empty by June 2nd, so come by and see me and get your goodies.

Nice turn-out today at the shop but not what I was expecting. Remember, everything is 40%. It needs to go!

It’s with great sadness that I have to announce that The Reel Tackle Shop will be closing the doors for good. The owners of the building have given the building back to the original owners and therefore my agreement with my landlord no longer stands. They have asked that I be out by the first of June. So for what it’s worth, EVERYTHING in the shop must go. Everything is 40% off and what does not sell will go on eBay or the venue of my choice. As for the fixtures in the shop, (shelving, cash register, line spooler, etc) will be up for negotiation (best offers). If you have any questions I will be in the shop Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 3pm until June 1st. A big “Thank You” to all the wonderful people I have met over the past two years and I’m now happy to now call my friends.

Good Sunday morning to you all! Looks like the Sandy River is calming down just a bit before the spring time weather finally hits. The river is currently at 11.95ft and 6640cfs, down from yesterdays 8500 cfs. Maybe still moving a bit fast for some, but those of you who are real fishermen will be out there checking it out to see if they can hook-up on their first springer of the season. I've heard word that the Clackamas is doing well but not reports of exactly where this might be. Keep me posted on what's new and adventurous out there.

The tackle shop is experiencing phone issues again. The battle continues. Wendy vs. Frontier. LOL If you need to get a hold of the shop or myself, please try my cell phone. 503-819-3584. Thank you for your patience!!!!

Good morning my friends. Looks like things are starting to clear up a bit. It's not as cold old so I don't think your line will freeze once it hits the water today. The Sandy River is currently at 10.32ft and 3140 cfs. It should be a good day to get out there to see what is happening, who is fishing, and where they are bitting. If you have any news, please let me know. Have a wonderful day!

Good Saturday morning everyone! Here are the current conditions on the Sandy River (doesn't look promising) 11.57ft and 5700cfs. If anyone has any reports, I would surely like to hear them. What's happened on our rivers over the past week???
