There’s something really special about being handed a whole lot of strawberries that aren’t “pretty enough” for the grocery store… and getting to turn them into something beautiful. 🍓
👉 COMMENT “scone” to grab the easiest and most delicious crème-style English strawberry scone recipe you can make in just a morning!
Eisele Farms graciously gave us 9 flats of strawberries that were too imperfect for grocery store shelves, and of course, we were more than happy to give them a second life in our little bread shed. 🥹
So instead of those strawberries going to waste, they became strawberry scones — buttery, tender, bursting with fresh strawberries, and honestly one of our favorite things we’ve made lately. My sister also made amazing strawberry jam…stay tuned for that post!
We’re so grateful to Eisele Farms for thinking of us and letting us turn their “imperfect” berries into something our family, customers, and community can enjoy.
The struggle now is figuring out the best packaging for our scones…grease-proof and cute. If anyone has recs send them our way!
