Super excited to share news about the passion project I've been working on lately! I have been collaborating with my PR clients and others who have been on Shark Tank. We have a passion for entrepreneurs and small businesses (especially women leaders) and created the Summit as a way to encourage and empower others on their journey towards success.
We're calling it the "Summit Series: Branding & Publicity for Entrepreneurs". My savvy, creative, and super smart pals who've enjoyed growing their businesses and brands since their TV debuts on Shark Tank will be sharing their tips, tactics, and strategies for success for the everyday business owner. I'll be sharing more details about the Summit throughout the week, so keep checking this page for updates.

Failure isn't a defeater. Failure can often be a navigator towards success. Take a lesson from One Smart Cookie, Debbi Fields, founder of Mrs. Fields Cookies:

"The morning my first store opened, my husband bet I couldn't make $50 in sales. Of course, I took that bet. I was sitting in the store on our first day, waiting for customers, and after a few hours, I realized that not only were there no customers, I was going to lose that bet.

So I took to the streets. I walked up and down the street, letting people try the product, and that day I ended up selling $75 worth. I had to realize that failure means something isn't working--and I had to try something new.

I structured my business to give me immediate feedback so I could see right away whether I was failing. I used to get the profit and loss sheets ten days after the month ended, and that was just too long to wait." [more at http://tinyurl.com/debbiecookies]

Meet the Self-Made Women Billionaires of the World
There are 56 self-made women billionaires in the world according to a new list released by Forbes on International Women's Day. And while the number pales in comparison to the hundreds of self-made male billionaires, Forbes' data shows that women are increasing their wealth at a rapid rate.
