Not all soap bars are made the same and neither are the ingredients behind them. Commercial bars are typically made with sodium palmate and synthetic hardeners that cleanse effectively but can leave skin feeling tight and stripped over time. Cold process soap is made the old way with real oils that go through saponification to create a bar that cleanses and conditions at the same time. Both work. One just works differently for your skin. 🫧

Sorry I haven’t been as active just started my first ever job/ internship. In the meantime here’s a picture of some soap dough I made from soap I originally was going to throw away! Loved being able to repurpose this and try new things. It ended up being in my berry bark soap which smells incredible and just like the name.
