It is with mixed emotions that I am posting this, but I feel it is necessary to explain about our absence on Sunday from Golden State Round Up.

Hello fellow dancers and clients of Signs By Scott. As you may have noticed we were not present on Sunday at the 2025 Golden State Round Up. We at Signs By Scott would like to apologize for our absence and we know that we have badges and other items that were ordered by our clients that were not completed and/or awaiting pick up by you, our valued clients.

Signs By Scott had a contract to be there until the Sunday dinner break with the mandatory 6PM check out time. However, we were actually thrown out of the dance by the General Chairman. Not only were we told to leave, the General Chairman did it in one of the most inappropriate and unprofessional ways.
We have already heard rumors that the reason we left was because Scott had ‘anger issues’. This is absolutely false information. For those of you that have any history with us, you will know that is inaccurate information. We have always treated everyone very professionally, with helpfulness, and care.

If you would like to know what transpired that caused us to be told to leave the property, call us and we will gladly tell you what occurred to cause Sign By Scott to be forced to leave from Golden State Round Up.

To all of our clients who put their trust into us for making their badges and other square dance related products, that were not picked, please contact us at the information below and we will make the unforeseen situation correct. This is our commitment to you, our valued clients. We will pay for the shipping to you, as we had no idea we were going to be told to leave the property by the General Chairman. Also, if you can wait for receipt of your order at one of our next festivals, we will be happy to hand them to you there. Our upcoming festivals are:

Finished Wing Ding in Merced last weekend, off this weekend, then down to Imperial Valley for CA State Convention. The Following week start racing until October with a few weeks off, where I will be doing other shows. Loving my job.

My trip to Seattle was awesome. Tired but made it back in one piece. The Convention was one of the best I had ever been to, and I have been to many of them. Just under 900 square dancers, all very glad to have a badge maker there. I have already started my plans to go to PA next year for the same convention. Then to Denver the next year after that.
I will admit there wasn't much down time but that was fine too. Got to meet a lot of new people and interact with them more than I got to at most other conventions.

Working hard on getting product ready for my trip to Seattle. This will be the first time going to Washington to sell my wares. Will be going to the IAGSDC, and looking forward to it. I am trying to figure out all the licenses I need to get for use and sales (sales tax) but not having a good time trying to figure it out. But must do it...
I have a couple photos of awards that are going out, but can't post them until after they are presented to the recipients on Saturday. But I will say they look pretty awesome.
