After over twenty-three fun and exciting years, Kit and Julie are planning for retirement! While it’s bittersweet to think about our retirement, we are excited for the next chapter, and we are looking for passionate individuals or a group to carry on the legacy of our beloved quilt shop.

"Where Creativity and Community Come Together" has been our motto from the start, and Always Quilting has been a pillar of the quilting community for our entire twenty-three years. From FREE Friday sewing, to a huge selection of fabrics, patterns, and notions, to great classes, and to long arm quilting and machine rental, we have strived to offer the quilting community everything they need! We hope to find new owners who will continue to inspire the creativity, friendship, and vibrant spirit that our shop personifies. Sharing this post from Gail Greenberg about the passing of Barb Valley. Barb was an amazing woman and always so much fun to be with. She will be greatly missed.

My friend Barb posted on Dec 31st.
“I am In hospital with RSV. No fun can't breathe. GET VACINATED! Barb died On Jan8th form RSV. Barb valley was a one-of-a-kind type person. Very quick wit and could tell a good story and keep everyone listening and laughing. I’m posting this on my page so everyone reading my page will heed Barba's message and get vaccinated.
I was going through Barba’s page and found out I was not getting many posts from her. I want to share a story I came across on her page.
Barb wrote; “I was at Costco and had some water and another heavy item I was struggling trying to load in my car. Someone honked their horn and I thought, great someone I know and they will help me. But it was someone that just wanted the parking space. I continued to struggle and again the horn. I walked over to the car and knocked on the window and said to the man, if you could help me load my car I can stay here and honk the horn for you. The man laughed and got out of his car and helped me.” As always Barb you left me laughing. I hope those with you now are laughing and love you in all your uniqueness.
Rick and Kevin, I’m so sorry for the loss of your Mom. We all are left with many memories of you mom. Rest in Power Barb.

Quilter’s Harvest Shop Hop Starts Today - Sept 14-16, 9:00-5:00 each day!

Join us for this very fun event! Share in the splendor of the fall season by collecting this year's barn themed 18" block patterns. Pick up your official Shop Hop Passport and FREE Barn themed block patterns at the first shop you visit. You will recieve one barn pattern with a silo, and one traditional barn pattern. Each barn pattern will have a "space" for a barn door, and you will collect those smaller patterns from each shop. Below is a picture of the Always Quilting Maple Leaf Barn block.

Tour the shops, have your passport stamped, and pick up your free barn door pattern from each shop - the barn door pattern will make each block unique to each shop! You will insert this pattern into your main barn pattern. Shops will also have block kits available for sale.

Visit all participating shops. Turn in your completed passport at the last shop you visit and recieve a fun finishing prize! We'll draw for winners after the hop, and who knows, you may be getting a phone call! We look forward to seeing you!

The March Madness Shop Hop Challenge Quilts Quilts are at Always Quilting this week! We are so excited to have them here! The theme was “Polka Dot Party” and every shop hopper got a polka dot fat quarter from each shop. They had to use a recognizable amount of each fat quarter in their original design quilt.

The quilts travel each week to all of the participating shops for Viewer's Choice voting, and the voting is on this week at our shop! You can vote every day, but only once a day!

The quilts are on the design walls in the back training room and the ballots are up front by the check out desk. Please come in and vote for your favorite!
