# # Help Us Bring Movie Night Back to Buck Hill Campground by 4th July 2026 # #
I’m reaching out to my friends and colleagues in the outdoor-movie community for help with a project that means a great deal to me.
Several years ago, Christopher Caudle and his family purchased one of my inflatable movie screens for **Buck Hill Campground in Newland, North Carolina**. They used it to create family movie nights for their campers and build memories under the stars.
Then Hurricane Helene changed everything.
The campground was devastated by catastrophic flooding. Campers, buildings, vehicles, equipment and nearly everything they had built were swept away or destroyed. They have spent almost two years fighting their way back, one piece at a time.
Miraculously, their inflatable movie screen was eventually recovered from beneath approximately 15 feet of mud, branches and storm debris.
The pictures below show the condition in which the screen surface arrived at my shop. It is packed with dried mud and grime, but after everything it endured, **the inflatable frame still works.**
I am going to clean, repair or replace the white projection surface and restore the screen at no charge so that Christopher and his family can once again host movie nights when Buck Hill Campground reopens.
But a screen alone does not make a movie night.
They lost their projector, sound system, cables and the rest of their outdoor-movie equipment. I’m hoping members of this group may have reliable equipment sitting in storage that they could donate—or possibly offer at a deeply discounted price—to help us rebuild a complete working system.

* Any other dependable outdoor-cinema equipment
Used equipment is completely fine, provided it is safe, functional and dependable. Even one component could move this project closer to completion.
Their hope is to begin welcoming people back around the **Fourth of July**, although the campground’s full recovery will continue beyond that. I would love to help them celebrate this milestone by bringing back one of the simple things their guests loved: families gathering together for a movie under the stars.
This is not a request for equipment for me or my business. I am donating my labor and the screen restoration directly to Buck Hill Campground. Any equipment donated through this effort will go toward getting their campground movie system operational again.
These people have endured more than most of us could imagine, yet they are still rebuilding and looking forward.
Let’s show them what the outdoor-movie community can do when we pull together.

I recently started a new side business with my three sons. It’s a collectible trading card and autographed memorabilia vending machine that sells sports cards, Pokémon, and signed items.
The reason I’m posting here is because I’m open to trading Inflatables movie screen products for collectible inventory.

I’m mainly looking for:
Sports cards
Pokémon cards
Autographed sports memorabilia
Celebrity autographs

Other collectible card or memorabilia inventory
So if you’re sitting on cards, slabs, autographs, signed jerseys, signed balls, or other collectibles and have been thinking about adding or upgrading an inflatable movie screen setup, I’d be open to trade offers.

I know it’s a little different, but I figured this group is full of outdoor movie business owners, event people, and side hustlers — so there may be some overlap.
