Tom Hazuka is one of the people who coined the term "Flash Fiction" with his groundbreaking anthology, FLASH FICTION. His new book VISIBLE HUMAN is full of what Hazuka considers his best work. Blue Light Press is honored to be the publisher of this book. Book launch today! Order it at your favorite bookstore, ISBN 978-1421835761 (distributed by Ingram) or https://www.amazon.com/Visible-Human-Tom-Hazuka/dp/1421835762/

Winner, 2025 Blue Light Book Award! "Tom Hazuka has long been a major editor of flash fiction anthologies, and for decades I've enjoyed reading his work in magazines. Now at last we have a full volume of his own flash stories and they're brilliant. Raw, acerbic, soulful, funny. What a treasure." -Robert Shapard, author of Bare Ana and Other Stories; co-editor of Norton sudden and flash fiction anthologies"

"The characters in Tom Hazuka's collection Visible Human are all wonderfully human as they confess and complain, hope and dream. They allow their transgressions to play out in full view, with humor and yearning, in arresting stories that ask for and earn the reader's admiration and absolution." -Pamela Painter, Author of Fabrications: New and Selected Stories

"With Visible Human, Tom Hazuka casts a wise and incisive glow over the commonplace as only the best storytellers can. He gives us narratives, with a diamond cutter's precision, that are as universal as they are personally told. Here is sure word of those fissures and hard-won triumphs that mark our days." -Robert Scotellaro, author of What Are the Chances? and Quick Adjustment

It's published! Book launch today! In Everything: New and Selected Poems, Terry Lucas anthologizes work from five previous collections and adds twenty pages of new poems to create a cohesive, lyrical-narrative arc that is a faithful sample of his personal and writing life. Childhood preacher, adult minister turned teacher, retail executive, and finally poet in his 50s, now at age 75, Lucas assembles images and narratives from disparate vistas that wrestle with the big questions by attending to the small things.
