The meaning of the name Citrine crystal, comes from the Greek word meaning 'citron', as many early Citrine crystals found had a color similar to the citrus fruit of that name.

The Citrine properties that are most well known are its value for aiding manifestation of prosperity, particularly if you combine it with the power of affirmations.

By its ability to activate the solar plexus, the seat of the will, it will help you to be decisive about what you will bring into your life.

The most common of grieving stones is the Apache Tear and is often called the “grief stone”. Apache Tears can be exceptionally helpful when dealing with the loss of a loved one. Apache Tear is actually Obsidian and is very dark but transparent. When you hold a small piece up to the light you can see through it. However, if you have been using the Apache Tear to absorb negative emotions, you will see it cloud up and become opaque. Sometimes it will clear up after the grieving is over.

Meditation with Apache Tears can open the floodgates of grief, allowing cleansing and release of feelings of woundedness or grief in the loss of a loved one.

There are other stones that help one in a time of grief, sadness and where their auric field has been disturbed.
