One of the many things I love about my job is sourcing cookbooks. I have an amazing helpers in helping me choose my titles. Kamala, who I have worked with for many years who guides me through upcoming titles. I must give a shout out to Celia Sack – whom I do not know personally, founder and owner of the world’s best cookbook store, in my opinion, Omnivore, here in San Francisco and the many friends and fellow aspiring chefs in my life. Another love is when the books finally arrive and I can take a deep dive. Today, one such title arrived: New California Cooking from an Oasis in the Desert La Copine.It is rare that I immediately want to cook everything in the book, though it might be easier to book a table at the Yucca Valley hot spot.
Either way, this new cookbook arrival will have your mouth watering. What are you waiting for!
