Santa came early at cafe! We love rescue animals and wanted to bring some holiday cheer to their resident and adoptable kitties. The pattern for perfect fill bulk bags has just enough space for Christmas stockings, and this year we’ve begun the process of turning the thousand or so remnant cut outs into gift stockings for the countless animals waiting for their forever homes. Hello zero waste seekers! I'm stepping away from my work at a shop where I facilitated a refill pop-up collaboration between Grove Co. and Proclamation Goods. Since I won't be around to nurture it, I'm ceeding back the space and putting products up for sale at cost. If you or people you know would enjoy some low-cost, eco-intentional cleaning supplies, please come visit 717 Valencia street near 18th! You'll find tree-free paper products, closed-loop cleaning concentrates with adaptable spray bottles, water-efficient foaming soap supplies, recycled bin liners, and organizing accessories. Come say hello before I head out for the summer. When I get back, my plan is to resurrect Perfect Fill bulk bags and the Handsome Goods website and get my own products out into the world via Etsy and Faire.

Hello there fellow zero waste seekers! My locally made volume-printed organic cotton bulk bags and reusable tags just got into Rainbow Grocery as products! If you're looking for a new alternative to compostable bags and hard-to-reuse twist-ties, please check out the Perfect Fill system at the main tare station. Tares are printed on the back of the bags, and tag sets come with a pencil + eraser cap for easy and nearly infinite reuse. May we realize the gift that is our planet earth, and the responsibility to care for the ecosystems we depend on. My personal journey has been one of taking Earth for granted, having individualistic ambitions, becoming alarmed, angry, despondent with the surging carbon imbalance and lack of appropriate action. But it is time to rise up and . Many of our civilizations have been built upon extraction and exploitation. Ours is not a world of infinite resources. Our world is a beautiful web of systems that sustain life where every body is precious. There is so much to discover, so much to love, so much to protect. We will be better and more resilient through understanding how to live in harmony with Earth’s ecosystems. As says, we can no longer afford to be pessimistic.
