Our brand-new Chestnut Street café is open in the Marina — our first opening since 16th Street, back in 2018. Join us there to celebrate: Sunday, June 14th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (hot chocolate and cookies on us)!

Our 12-piece Aperitivo & Digestivo Collection brings you a taste of Italian summer — straight from the kitchen of Head Chocolatier Dany Kamkhagi, of Houston’s . Dany brings the flavors of Negroni, Luxardo del Santo, Caffè Corretto, and Amaro del Capo to our gently fruity Costa Esmeraldas chocolate — inviting you to share four velvety bonbon varieties as you would a round of drinks.

We first met Dany last year when he submitted confections for our Advent Calendar blind tasting. (His Hazelnut Comet became one of the most talked-about treats of our 2025 Calendar.)

This new Collection, which draws on his childhood memories and family traditions, begins with a bonbon evoking Dany’s go-to aperitivo: the Negroni. Blood-orange pâte de fruit is spiked with Campari, while subtly sweet ganache made with Grassotti Vermouth di Torino mellows the finish. From there, build up or wind down the evening with Luxardo del Santo, Amaro del Capo, and Caffè Correto bonbons.

Last year, Chef Durfee invited some of the Bay Area’s best chefs to our factory to prepare multi-course brunches. They were such a fun success, we’re bringing brunch back this summer.

Three brunches feature 10 chefs — including our neighbor Tolgay, of Baklava Story; Ryan Seal, of Sea Ranch; and Melissa Perello, of Octavia. Every course incorporates cacao or chocolate in some form.

Our May recipe is near and dear to us: 's Melting Chocolate Cakes (Fondants au Chocolat).

Before opening Dandelion’s doors, Todd and Elaine visited Paris, where they joined acclaimed author and pastry chef David Lebovitz to tour his favorite chocolate shops. The rest is history — we’ve been fans and friends ever since.

Straight from his just-released (newly revised) The Great Book of Chocolate, this iconic French dessert is a slight variation of the version David made going toe-to-toe with Bobby Flay on Chef Flay's show.
