One of the miracles of being published this year is that by strange coincidence I reconnected with my childhood friend . We were each other’s first gay friend before we even had language to know ourselves. Now he just happens to be an author (I had no idea!) and a bookseller at in Oakland. We found each other on Instagram (which I had avoided before “Greenland” PR.) What a great reunion we had! And a special thank you to for all the support. Jerry Thompson has edited this wonderful edition of “Berkeley Noir” out now (Akashic Noir Series). Check it out!
