With the climate of COVID-19 changing life for what seemed to be every hour in 2020, so too were our clients’ needs. Operational changes, inventory availability and new store openings are just a few things that were continually impacted. That’s where we come in.

As Shake Shack’s web agency, our team was tasked with near continual support of this constantly updating flow of information for 400+ locations worldwide on their brand web site, www.shakeshack.com. On any given day the Dreambox team was updating store hours for several locations, updating Allergen and Nutrition information based on promotional LTO’s, adding Coming Soon locations, updating the COVID-19 protocol information, and even adding engaging blogs featuring Shake Shack partnerships. Being able to do this meant constant communication among our teams, leveraging our project management software .

It's that sort of client/agency partnership that allowed (and continues to allow) our teams to thrive.

In the age of COVID, where digital sales have become the lifeline to many restaurants’ survival, employing the right technology is key to ensuring guests can order their favorites as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Instead of winning a guest over with an in-store experience, restaurants now must make an impression digitally, before a guest has even entered the establishment.

Enter : a beloved brand with a cult following, and a celebrity founder with a larger-than-life personality. Starting with a brand reimagination for the digital world, we were then tasked to build a new website while integrating with our friends at to launch a brand new loyalty program, mobile app, online ordering system, revamped menu, localized SEO pages, and enhanced nutrition information. This presented a unique opportunity to inject the life of the brand into every step of the guest experience and maintain brand integrity across multiple channels (both digitally and in-store).

The newly launched ikessandwich.com is a testament to how strong branding and cutting-edge technology can work together to create a guest experience that not only works well, but is as unique as Ike himself.

When the world is being told to stay inside and not leave their homes, it's hard to imagine how you can increase sales at your restaurant. That's when, as marketers, we are forced to think on our toes and come up with a new idea that sparks intrigue.

Within the first month of quarantine during the Covid pandemic, Polly's Pies in Southern California launched a program that allowed guests to purchase a pie for a friend, family member or coworker. The pie would get delivered to the recipient's home, with a special note labeled "Pie It Forward". It encouraged people to give random acts of kindness via pie when times were hard and staying home alone with no end in sight were the reality. Not only did it lift the spirits of the quarantine-blues, but it also was a nice lift for pie sales 😉
