Miriam Jewels, an unique jewelry studio located in Poway, CA; specialized in handmade wire crochet jewelry. Brazilian artist Miriam Chor Freitas, owner and head designer of Miriam Jewels went to Peru in 2007 to learn the “Peruvian Stitch,” a new flawless crochet technique that creates perfectly symmetrical stitches that result in beautiful, elegant, and unique eye-catching pieces of wearable art.

Our designs are also very versatile, light weigh, and timeless. There is only a handful of people who can do this work in the U.S. We use sterling silver and gold-filled wire with crystals and semi-precious stones (Please note that we can work with precious metals and stones upon request.). Miriam Jewels' colorful, bold, and eclectic jewelry collections represent the various aspects of Miriam’s heritage. The vivaciousness of Brazil, the laid-back California style, the influence of artisan cultures and the classic style of fine jewelry; different aspects that blended together became Miriam Jewels. Miriam also collaborates with other extremely gifted artists who create innovative pieces of jewelry that add to and complement the Miriam Jewels’ collections. We work with a number of retailers including Bettina Duncan at Fred Segal and GOGA from Project Runaway in Santa Monica, CA; and the fashion and life style catalog, Arhaus Jewels.
