I had such a great time this past weekend at the Mermade Market! I met so many great people and had the opportunity to share my coloring books, my love for art and sharing the importance of creativity for kids. The best part was hanging up all the amazing coloring pages by all the kids that visited my coloring table on the Coloring Wall of Fame. They all did such a great job! Hope to see u all again at the spring show.

The votes are in, #2 was the favorite, although it almost tied with #3 - Cats in Art History. Here’s a sneak peek of a few felines from the new book: slide1-Ta-Miu, a mummy cat with her own ancient Egyptian sarcophagus 2. Unsinkable Sam served on and survived three sinking ships during WWII 3. Towser the Mouser from Scotland who holds the Guinness World record for most mice caught 4. President Lincoln’s cat Tabby. This will be a fun book to create and I look forward to sharing it with you. Thanks for all your votes!

I’m excited to announce I will have a makers booth at this years Mermade Market! The event kicks off on Wednesday Nov 8 thru Saturday the 11th at the beautiful Ocean Institute located in Dana Point. You will find me there on Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th! Stop on by, say hi and check out all the amazing markers at this event. More details to come.

I had soooo much fun making these giant crayons for my booth at the upcoming Orange County Children’s Book Festival. I made them from shipping tubes, paper mache cones, and poster board. Then I finished them with paint, sharpies and crayons. It was a fun challenge; I can’t wait to see them in my booth! (Fingers crossed, they stay upright).
I also designed some fun stickers just for the festival. I’m thinking of adding them to my shop. Let me know what other stickers you would like to see.
You can find me at booth Y6, near the S.T.E.A.M activity area. The festival is on Sunday, Oct 1st, 9:30 am - 4:00 pm at Orange Coast College. Free admission and parking. Stop by and say hi!
