🌿💨Washington has a new Homegrow Bill!! 🌿🍃💨

A new bill has been introduced in Washington State to legalize Recreational Home Grow Cannabis Cultivation with House Bill 2194

About this bill:
• legalize Home Grow Cultivation of 6 plants per adult and up to 15 per household
• reduce penalties for growing from Class C Felony to a Class 1 Civil Infraction
• eliminate seizure and forfeiture provisions for those activities as well as define "commercial activity" within the Controlled Substances Act
• Focus on decriminalization and social equity

This HB 2194 will be alongside another Home Grow initiative: HB 1614 introduced last year 2023 Legislative Session which was supported by the majority.

Washington State was the first state to legalize Recreational Cannabis use but is among the 2 states out of 25 that have legalized Adult Cannabis use but not allowing Home Grow Cultivation.
