We kicked off the Thanksgiving break with a celebration extremely worthy of being thankful for! To say I’m proud of my daughter is an understatement. She overcame challenges and is stronger than ever. Finished her senior year in 3 months and ready for her life to begin! Thank you to friends and family who were there to watch her walk from high school to her future!!

From Howard to Woodridge to Great Hearts to AHJS to AHHS to AH Excel Academy…the days have been long but dang the years were short!! Yesterday marked the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL as we know it for Grace Haugen!! I couldn’t be more proud of this young lady. She has persevered and made lemonade out of lemons. Since 2007 I have been waking up kiddos and getting them ready for school…well really 2004 since we started church day school. 3 kids…all different…all perfectly wonderful. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve sang from the top of our lungs, we’ve made (very few) tik tok videos, we’ve made school projects…we’ve done it all. Yesterday was bittersweet and a bit anticlimatic but we’ll have a couple ceremonies to mark the end of an era. Here’s to adulthood for all 3 of my kiddos and what’s in store for me…yet to be seen. Thank you God for bringing us to this moment and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us now! The best is yet to come.
