The books I pick for this club don't often end up on bestseller lists because we focus on books might not get the attention that they deserve, but it always makes me so happy to see when those books get recognition for being amazing, which is why it heartened me to see that half of the books we read this year are on the opening round of the Goodreads Readers Choice list. The Eyes are the Best Part, Homes is Where the Bodies Are, Diavola, This Cursed House, House of Bone and Rain and I was a Teenage Slasher. Thank you for boosting these books, these authors, these ideas...and of course, our little bookshop.
