It’s not a knife, but I did forge it. It’s called mokume gane, Japanese for “wood grain”. Forged nickel and copper, it’s a little rough around the edges but not bad for a first try. I think it’ll make nice jewelry or decorative pieces.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. It’s been a busy few days in the forge coming up with a new design I’m calling “The Honey Badger”, working on another hunter, and my favorite part is the 30 knife order I got last week! It’s gonna be a great couple of weeks coming up working on all of that. Time to cut some more stock and hammer on!

Here’s a hunter that I’ve been working on. Forged 5160, bocote scales with black g10 pins. Tomorrow I start the leather work for the sheath.
