Turiya's Turiya is an ancient Sanskrit word that means “the fourth way.” Turiya signifies pure consciousness, coming to rest in a peaceful, blissful state.

A definition we have found and love is “the voice that calls us home.” Turiya's is an inspirational gift shop located in the Sugarhouse neighborhood of Salt Lake City. We offer meaningful gifts and products that uplift the spirit, teach and train or simply celebrate life's occasions. People come to rest and restore in the tranquil surroundings. Many come to work with Healer/Teacher Kristen Dalzen.

Earth’s Apothecary

Fluorite | The Wisdom of Many Colors

There are stones that seem to carry a single message.

Fluorite is not one of them.

It arrives in violet, green, blue, yellow, clear—and sometimes several colors at once—as though the Earth refused to choose only one way of expressing its beauty.

Perhaps this is part of its teaching.

Wholeness does not require sameness.

We can be clear and uncertain.
Tender and discerning.
Grounded and still becoming.

Fluorite has long been appreciated by crystal practitioners as a stone of clarity, focus, energetic cleansing, and inner organization—especially when the mind feels crowded or outside influences make it difficult to hear what is true.

Its colors are often associated with different qualities:

Purple — intuition + spiritual insight
Green — renewal + emotional balance
Blue — communication + honest expression
Yellow — confidence + creativity
Clear — mental clarity + intention
Rainbow — a little of them all

Not a demand to become one perfect version of ourselves, but an invitation to welcome the many colors of who we already are.

Perhaps clarity is not always the sudden arrival of an answer.

Sometimes it is the clearing away of what was never ours to carry:

The expectations.
The noise.
The inherited beliefs.
The pressure to make ourselves easier to define.

Fluorite reminds us that complexity does not make us confused.

Sometimes complexity is simply what wholeness looks like before we learn to trust it.

A Gentle Ritual-

Choose a piece of Fluorite and let yourself be drawn to the color that feels most inviting.

Hold it in your hands. Take a few slow breaths and ask:

“What becomes clear when I stop listening to every voice but my own?”

Do not force an answer.

Notice what rises first.

Clarity does not always arrive as certainty.

Sometimes it is simply the next honest step.

Reflection-

Which color of Fluorite are you most drawn to—and what might it be inviting you to welcome more fully?

Moving in Wholeness

An Introduction to the Feldenkrais Method® with Carol Lessinger

What if greater ease begins not by trying harder, but by listening more closely?

Join us as we welcome Carol Lessinger to Turiya’s Gallery for an introduction to the Feldenkrais Method®—a gentle, movement-based practice that invites us to become more aware of how we move, where we hold unnecessary effort, and what new possibilities may already be available to us.

Movement is woven through everything we experience: our thoughts, feelings, habits, and ways of meeting the world. Through slow, attentive explorations performed while seated in a chair, Carol will guide us toward a deeper connection with the body and a more comfortable, conscious way of moving through life.

Carol is a Senior Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner who studied directly with Moshe Feldenkrais. Through her work, Moving in Wholeness, she helps people cultivate less stress, greater comfort, and a healthier relationship with movement.

What the Heart Carries Forward

Across cultures and centuries, people have marked the ending of a season by gathering what they wished to carry into the next.

A candle burned beside a prayer.
A smooth stone found along a meaningful path.
A bowl that held shared meals.
A treasured book.
A bundle of herbs.
A small object touched so often it seemed to remember the shape of the hand.

Not because these things possessed power on their own.

But because life had passed through them.

They had become keepers of moments.
Witnesses to gratitude.
To grief.
To celebration.
To becoming.

Perhaps this is how ordinary objects become sacred.

Not through magic placed upon them, but through the meaning we return to them.

They begin to hold something of us.

A memory.
An intention.
A promise whispered in a quieter hour.

Throughout this month, we have explored what it means to come home.

Home to wonder.
Home to beauty.
Home to meaningful conversation.
Home to the wisdom of gathering.
Home to the unseen places within ourselves.

And now, as one chapter softens into another, perhaps the invitation is not to reach too quickly for what comes next.

Perhaps it is to pause at the threshold and ask:

What will your heart carry forward?

Not everything belongs in the next season.

Some things are meant to be thanked and released.

But some are meant to cross the threshold with us.

A practice that changed the rhythm of your mornings.
A conversation that opened a hidden door.
A crystal that became a companion.
A candle that reminded you there is always light to tend.
A journal filled with truths you were finally ready to name.
A singing bowl whose sound called some wandering part of you home.

The most meaningful rituals have never been about the objects alone.

They are about the presence we pour into them.

At Turiya’s, we believe beauty can become a vessel for memory, and ritual can reveal the sacred hiding inside an ordinary day.

Perhaps that is why we gather beautiful things.

Not simply to possess them, but to live beside them.

To let them remind us.
To let them accompany us.
To let them become small lanterns along the path of our becoming.

A Closing Ritual

Choose one object that has accompanied you this month.

A crystal.
A candle.
A piece of jewelry.
A journal.
Something simple that has quietly gathered meaning.

Hold it in your hands.

Close your eyes.

Remember one moment from this month when something within you softened, opened, healed, or grew.

Offer that moment a word of gratitude.

Then place the object somewhere you will see it often.

Let it become a talisman for the season ahead.

A reminder that transformation does not always arrive with thunder.

Sometimes it enters softly.

Through a morning practice.
A single honest conversation.
A flame relit.
A hand placed over the heart.
A return.

Thank you for walking with us through this season of coming home.

Wherever the path leads next, may you carry forward what is true.

May you release what has completed its work.

And may you continue to find the sacred shimmering quietly through the ordinary.

What if wonder isn't an emotion?
What if it's a way of seeing?
There is a tendency to believe that the mystical lives somewhere beyond ordinary life—that it waits on distant mountaintops, hidden temples, or in extraordinary moments reserved for a fortunate few.
And yet...
What if it has always been here?
Waiting not for the world to become more magical...
but for our attention to become more awake.
Perhaps this is why children seem to move so effortlessly through enchanted worlds.
Not because they imagine more.
Because they question more.
They have not yet learned to mistake certainty for wisdom.
They have not forgotten how to be astonished.
Somewhere along the way, many of us stop asking.
We begin explaining.
Defining.
Concluding.
We exchange mystery for certainty, forgetting that the soul has always been nourished by wonder far more than by answers.
At Turiya's, we believe there are questions that are never meant to be solved.
Only lived.
Questions that soften the heart.
Expand perception.
And gently remind us that life is infinitely more mysterious than it first appears.
Perhaps coming home to yourself is not about discovering something new.
Perhaps it is about seeing what has always been there through different eyes.

A Quiet Practice
Carry one question with you today.
Not one that asks for an answer.
One that opens a doorway.
Where is wonder quietly waiting for me today?
Resist the urge to answer.
Simply let the question accompany you.
Sometimes the most beautiful truths arrive not because we searched harder...
but because we learned to look differently.

The Stones That Remember
Long before crystals adorned shelves or filled the pages of books, they rested quietly in the hands of those who walked before us.
Travelers carried them.
Healers treasured them.
Storytellers passed them from one generation to the next.
Not because they believed the stone would change their lives.
Because they believed it might help them remember their own.
Among the oldest of these companions is Jasper.
A family of stones found across the world, each carrying its own unique landscape, yet all sharing something quietly profound.
The invitation to return.
To your center.
To your body.
To the steady ground beneath your feet.
Perhaps this is why Jasper has remained a beloved companion across centuries.
It doesn't ask us to become someone different.
It gently reminds us to inhabit the life that is already ours.
Halfway through the year, we often find ourselves looking ahead—wondering what still needs to be accomplished, transformed, or healed.
Jasper offers another perspective.
Before asking where you're going...
Pause long enough to notice where you are.
Notice how much has already shaped you.
How many seasons you've already walked through.
How much wisdom your own life has quietly gathered.
Perhaps coming home has never been about finding a new path.
Perhaps it is about walking the one beneath your feet with greater presence.

Today’s Intention
Carry a piece of Jasper, tucked mindfully in your pocket or a pouch.
Each time your hand finds the stone, let it become a gentle invitation to return to this moment.
To your breath.
To your body.
To the conversation in front of you.
To the beauty surrounding you.
Home is rarely found somewhere else.
More often, it reveals itself the moment we become fully present to where we already are.

What does it mean to come home to yourself?

Perhaps it begins with a question.

Not the kind that asks where you’re going.

The kind that quietly wonders where you are.

July arrives at the threshold of the year.

A place neither of beginning nor ending, but of gentle perspective.

Long enough to look back with gratitude.

Early enough to choose, with intention, how you wish to continue.

Nature knows this threshold well.

The earth is no longer busy becoming.

She is living into all that has been patiently cultivated.

Fields sway with quiet abundance.

Wild herbs reach toward the sun.

The orchard does not question whether enough has grown. It simply continues to ripen.

Perhaps we, too, are invited into this way of being.

Not asking, “How much more do I need to become?”

But gently wondering,

“What has already taken root within me?”

There is a quiet kind of magic in asking that question.

It shifts our attention from striving to noticing.

From chasing what is next to honoring what is already true.

At Turiya’s, we believe there are moments in the year that invite us to return to ourselves.

Not to reinvent who we are.

But to listen more deeply.

To notice what has quietly been asking for our attention.

To gather in meaningful conversation.

To sit in beauty.

To walk with wonder.

To remember that coming home is rarely a single moment.

It is a practice.

One small return at a time.

Throughout July, we’ll be exploring what it means to come home—not only through crystals and sacred objects, but through stories, rituals, gatherings, and the quiet wisdom of the natural world.

If this month has found you standing at a threshold, perhaps you are exactly where you need to be.

Welcome, July.

As we complete the first week of the month, we look forward to walking through the weeks ahead together—continuing to explore what it means to come home to ourselves, one thoughtful step at a time.

Moving towards tomorrow’s full moon in Capricorn…

The Solstice opened the gates of light.

Now the Full Moon arrives
to anchor it.

Capricorn is not concerned
with inspiration alone.

It asks something more.

What are you willing
to devote yourself to?

The mountain does not rise
in a single day.

The temple is not built
in a single season.

And the life you dream of
will not emerge
through intention alone.

It requires devotion.

Presence.

Consistency.

Capricorn understands
that true magic
is not found
in a single moment of awakening.

It is found
in what follows.

The choices repeated.

The promises honored.

The path walked
again and again.

This moon illuminates
the structures of your life.

The commitments.

The foundations.

The places where your actions
either support your truth
or pull you away from it.

Not as judgment.

As an invitation.

Because wisdom asks:

What deserves
your energy?

Your attention?

Your devotion?

As June comes to a close,
take a moment
to look back.

What has become clearer?

What has expanded?

What part of yourself
has stepped further into the light?

The Solstice revealed.

This moon integrates.

And something within you
is ready
to build from what it now knows.

The Medicine of Belonging

There is a difference
between being surrounded by people
and being truly seen.

The soul knows the difference.

Throughout history,
humans gathered in circles.

Around fires.

In temples.

Under moonlight.

Not simply to socialize.

To remember.

To witness one another’s becoming.

To share stories.

Wisdom.

Laughter.

Grief.

And through that sharing,
something remarkable happened.

People remembered
they belonged.

Not because they were identical.

Not because they agreed.

But because they recognized
their shared humanity.

Perhaps this is why
community feels so essential now.

We are not meant
to walk every path alone.

Some journeys require witnesses.

Some transformations require mirrors.

Some revelations arrive
only when they are spoken aloud.

Community is not about
finding your people.

It is about creating spaces
where people can remember themselves.

This is the heart
of what we hope to cultivate.

A place for curiosity.

Conversation.

Connection.

And conscious gathering.

What kind of community
is your soul longing for?

✨ We’d love to hear from you.
What gatherings, classes, ceremonies, or experiences would you like to see at Turiya’s Gallery?

Sacred Power of Gathering

Before there were temples,
there were circles.

Before there were sanctuaries,
there were fires.

Humans have always gathered.

Not merely for survival.

For meaning.

Around flames,
stories were shared.

Wisdom was passed.

Songs were remembered.

Grief was witnessed.

Joy was celebrated.

And something happened
when people sat together
with intention.

The burden became lighter.

The vision became clearer.

The individual
became part
of something larger.

Perhaps this is why
community remains sacred.

Not because everyone agrees.

Not because everyone is the same.

But because we remember
that we do not walk alone.

Healing happens in relationship.

Transformation happens in relationship.

Even awakening
is often sparked
by being seen.

As we move toward Solstice,
consider the circles
you are creating.

Who nourishes your spirit?

Who reminds you
of your own light
when you forget?

The ancients knew
that gathering was medicine.

Perhaps they were right.

And so, we continue the tradition.

This weekend, we have the privilege of gathering in a new way.

Our TRE event at the Gallery has sold out, and we are deeply grateful for the enthusiasm and support from this community.

And because gathering is meant to ripple outward, we invite you to join us immediately afterward for our very first Open House at Turiya’s Healing Arts.

🌿 Cerridwen’s Cauldron

Before there is illumination,
there is transformation.

Before there is becoming,
there is the vessel
that holds the becoming.

In Celtic tradition,
Cerridwen was keeper
of the sacred cauldron.

A vessel of wisdom.

Of inspiration.

Of rebirth.

The cauldron was never simply a container.

It was a symbol
of transformation itself.

A sacred womb.

The place where what was
is dissolved—

and what will be
begins to take form.

We often celebrate the bloom.

The revelation.

The breakthrough.

But nature teaches
a different truth.

Everything beautiful
spends time in the unseen.

The seed beneath the soil.

The butterfly within the chrysalis.

The dream gathering strength
before it enters the world.

As we move toward the Summer Solstice,
a season of fullness and light,
Cerridwen reminds us
that illumination begins
in mystery.

In patience.

In trust.

What within you
is still brewing?

What wisdom
is slowly taking shape?

What future self
is waiting to emerge
from the sacred vessel
of this moment?

Not everything needs
to be rushed into the light.

Some things are still
gathering their magic.

🌿 Trust the cauldron.
Trust the process.
Trust what is becoming.
