Cycling Base Layers and Accessories

Back in 2015 while I was in college, I created an art piece from a Mayan image, had a letterpress piece made, and entered it into an art show. That piece won a Top 10 Juror's Choice Award! I was so surprised and happy! Although it is not directly related to cycling, this piece is a taste of mayan history that everyone can enjoy.

This is the Mayan hieroglyph for Balam which means jaguar. As I mentioned before, we chose the jaguar to represent this brand because of their fierceness, majesty, and prowess. Those are characteristics that we wanted this brand to embody. We hope that riders that wear our gear feel comfortable yet fierce. We want our gear to change your riding experience so you can focus on being at the top of your game and being queens and kings of the cycling jungle!

Not sure why you need a cycling base layer?

Here are a few reasons:
They are highly effective at quickly wicking moisture from the skin

They help regulate body temperature by creating a thin, protective, dry layer of air around your skin

Even if you have a great cycling jersey, a base layer will make you more comfortable when riding

I wasn’t aware of the benefits of cycling base layers when I started riding. But now, I can’t ride without them, no matter what time of year it is! It has completely changed my riding experience by making me much more comfortable while riding. Base layers regulate body temperature so I don’t have to worry about overheating or get too cold while riding anymore!
