This is why I make, customize and sell safety spikes.. because a situation like that can turn really quick, and even in open carry states, carrying a gun is bulky, and can make you a target. My spikes are handheld keychains that weigh basically nothing and are discreet.. and they may be plastic but they're super sharp.. and if it breaks off inside your attacker, it's good evidence now.
