Closing after 16 years
As I thought about how to explain all of this the thought came to mind "If you love what you do you never work a day in your life". That's what the last 35 years of my life have been all about.
When my journey began there was my dear husband Paul who supported my dream to open a Christian Bible bookstore. I was young and energetic and with much help in 2007 that dream came true. Now, as time and circumstance have taken over, I find it necessary to end that journey.
I want to thank all of you for your faithfulness and prayers over those many years. I could not have done it without you! I also want to thank my faithful staff who have kept the store running these last couple of years. They have jumped in many times when my health has failed me.
As we close the doors of The Carpenter Bible Bookstore at the end of the month, I can't help but to think of the others that have gone before me, Earl Criddle, Carol Landey, and many others. Please pray that God will provide a new store to continue this ministry to the people of Monterey County. There are so many that need the love and salvation of the Lord. As we pray for each other let's continue to trust the Lord for our futures.
God has blessed me in many ways and as my journey continues, I plan to spend time with my family which includes two great grandchildren.
