Opened in June 2017 in Nevada, Omega Frog Comics is a full-service comic shop that has relocated to Salem, Oregon in 2024. We carry all your favorite new releases from Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, etc. plus back issues from the 1940s to last month. We also stock extensive selections of trade paperbacks, graphic novels, toys, and statues, and have the largest selection of comic book t-shirts

in the Willamette Valley. From kid-friendly comics for the new reader in your family, to backpacks and beanies, to collected editions of your favorite comics from yesteryear, we have something for everyone. But the most important item we stock is customer service. No "Comic Book Guy" from the Simpsons behind the counter, here. Just friendly faces and knowledgeable staff, waiting to serve you.

We get asked somewhat often how well the various publishers are doing, and we get asked even more often about “this Absolute Batman thing I keep hearing about”. So we decided to pull the market share numbers from 2026 so far. DC is on top, which isn’t a huge surprise. But it’s incredible to see that of the 500+ titles we’ve sold, from 24 different publishers, Absolute Batman on his own would sit in 4th place among publishers. And the Absolute Universe as a whole has outsold all of Image Comics so far in 2026. The gap between DC and Marvel has closed a bit in the last few months but it’s a safe bet that DC will end the year on top.

We are pleased to announce the winners of our FCBD 2026 Costume Contest! There were so many great entries this year. Winner of the Judges Choice award and $50 in store credit was Hope V as Daredevil. Best Group and $50 in store credit goes to the Spider-Family. Also winning $15 in store credit each were: Kaitlyn B, Charlotte L, Skyler W, Havok L, Arisia P, Grayson P, Fernando P, Skylar K, Landon K, Alan A, Arrio A, Lucy N, Jude N, Miles N, Casey N, and Zoe N. Just like every year, we order more Free Comic Book Day comics than we think we will need, because it’s an event where we never want to run out (of more than a couple titles). And just like every other year we donate some of those excess. If you are a local teacher who would like to use comics in your classroom, we have quantities available of a variety of titles ranging from all-ages to T-for-teen.
