🌿 Your story is your legacy.
Today I had the chance to use The Legacy Chest and Legacy Journal in a very personal way during our own family reunion — and it reminded me exactly why I created them.
We gathered old photographs, family maps, memories, favorite foods, and stories together in one place. We also had our Gill Family Recipes collection — because sometimes a recipe carries just as much family history as a photograph does. 💛
The Legacy Chest is designed to hold the pieces of a life that matter:
photos, letters, recipes, keepsakes, traditions, documents, and meaningful memories.
The Legacy Journal gives you a place to preserve the stories behind those pieces — the things future generations may never know unless someone takes the time to write them down.
Who is in that photograph?
Why was that recipe always made?
What did Grandma say?
Where did the family live?
What traditions mattered most?
What do you hope your children and grandchildren remember?
Today I was reminded that legacy isn’t something we begin thinking about only at the end of life.
We are creating it right now.
And sometimes preserving it begins with something as simple as an old photograph, a handwritten recipe, a piece of candy that brings back a memory, or a story told around a table. 🌻
✨ The Legacy Chest officially launches August 22 at the Granite City Senior Expo.
