The Beginning

It actually all began when I was in the 4th grade. I was searching for something; I didn’t know what. I took myself to several religious organizations from that time till my late 20’s. In 1976 the School of Metaphysics came to St. Joseph; I became a student, a teacher and later a director. I found answers that made sense to all of my questions.

I had been a Secretary and Bookkeeper during my working career. During the last few years at my last position, I had a nagging feeling there was something else I was supposed to be doing.

1995 was the year to find out! My dad passed and left a small amount of money. In August I went with a friend to Lawrence, Kansas. She wanted to show me around the town; we had lunch and visited some of their small shops. The minute we walked into a Metaphysical Shop I knew what the nagging feeling was all about. Chills just kept running up & down my body! I was so excited!!!!

In the short time from August to November, I found wholesalers and a place to rent. The landlord painted, carpeted & put up a wall dividing the space (this usually doesn’t happen when you rent commercial property). I was planning to open Monday, November 6th. Somehow the promoter of St. Joseph’s first Psychic Fair called to see if I wanted to be at the Civic Arena, November 4th & 5th! I said yes!! and was able to be there with product, flyers and business cards promoting the opening of the shop.
