Customer request! They wanted a 35lb kettlebell mold.

They finally were able to make the first test kettlebell today and it looks like it came out amazing! He said he skipped some steps which cause the voids but the mold itself held up like a charm and got the exact shape and size we were shooting for!

This was a customer request. I didn’t design the model this time but it has been a huge project to undertake. That’s about $40 worth of resin there with some failures I had to reprint it included, 4 hours of calibration tests on two different printers, finding absolutely perfect support placements, and a bunch of YouTube videos to learn how to fuse parts together. It’s a really cool project to pull together and add to my knowledge base!

Base measurement is 8” diameter and total model height is about 9”

Here’s a look at projects I’ve been working on and others that I’m looking at making my own versions of.

The main effort has been making chain mail. The best model I’ve found for it is $30 and I want to make a cheaper version. Turns out it is EXTREMELY difficult to model. It took an entire weekend of study and I finally have a model that I’m currently test printing to figure out the tweaks.

We have a kettle bell mold that was requested by one in person client that finished up after a week of printing. It ended up taking 2.3 killiograms of filament! Largest print yet.
