Second pic the pattern on the piece and the paddle used is the top middle paddle.

Fifth, finished, a beautiful pit fired bowl and on the shelf ready for a buyer...

A recent pit fire in the indian village. We had about 20 + pots that Aimee had made and a few smaller things from Moe for the pit.
We used pine straw and pine wood chips to bed the pots in, covered them in wood chips, then newspaper to start the fire then more wood then bridged the pit with a larger pine limb or three and stacked it high with wood then fired it off...
I am currently gathering pics and will put together a slide show ASAP !

We had a wonderful time up at the Cherokee tribal grounds, lots to do and see and so many amazing people !
Weather good, camping the way to go!
The evening Stomp was excellent with a big fire circle and a full moon shining through the pines as dancers circled counter clockwise.
These happen spring and fall !

Did a firing of Aimee's work, the kiln is at 387 degrees now and can be opened up to cool when it hits 250 degrees....I'll post pics when we get it open and cooled down enough in a couple of hours....
