Last night, Terra was broken into and a few items were stolen. We work tirelessly everyday to create a positive place for our community and hate to see this happen to us.

Fortunately the nursery has cameras and we were able to get footage of the thief. I would prefer to have the items back and not involve the police anymore than we already have. If you stole items from Terra and do not want to get in trouble, please return them by tomorrow and we will forget about this and move forward.

Not all orchids are welcome guests! While the Chinese crown orchid (Eulophia graminea) looks striking, it’s a major threat to Florida’s environment because it outcompetes native plants, invades delicate habitats, and spreads unchecked without natural predators. Eulophia Graminea frequently hitches a ride in mulch due to a combination of its biology and how landscaping materials are processed. When that contaminated mulch is laid out in a new landscape or around young trees, it acts like a pre-packaged starter kit, giving the orchid a nutrient-rich, moist bed to sprout and take over.

Protecting Florida’s unique biodiversity starts with knowing our invasive plants! Although beautiful, please remove this invasive Orchid from your landscape. .
