St Anthony Mill Inc St Anthony Mill is a family owned feed and grain mill. On January 11, 1956, the second mill was also destroyed by fire.

In 1900 Henry C Hasenour, John Sternberg, Anthony Troxler, and John Fleck built a four story flour mill along the railroad tracks in St Anthony, Indiana. Using the power of a steam engine to run the flour grinding mill and belt-and-bucket elevators, they manufactured "Golden Rule" flour which was purchased locally as well as packaged in copper barrels and shipped by railroad to Louisville, Kentuck

y, and then to Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee. On November 1, 1906 the original mill was destroyed by fire and another four story mill was erected at the same location by Henery C Hasenour and John Sternberg. In the early 1940's the invasion of onion and garlic weeds in the fields necessitated a switch to manufacturing feed for livestock. In 1957 the Hasenour family rebuilt the mill one quarter mile north of the railroad along Highway 64. The business is still owned and operated by the fourth and fifth generations of Hasenours. One popular item sold at the mill is "Bill's Chicken Mash", it is the same formula William Hasenour developed in the 1930's. Farming today has changed from 1900, and the individual and custom service to the community received from past generations is carried on by today's fourth and fifth generation of miller experience and commitment to the future.
