Bombshells, we are Stardust….

No matter what people tell you who are prejudiced against you, you are made of stardust and light. You and your body are no accident of the universe. You are uniquely you, uniquely valuable, and uniquely beautiful.

Your body is no indicator of your worthiness. You are exactly as valuable as any king or queen to walk this earth. You are exactly as valuable as any person with more privilege than you on any scale or spectrum.

You are equally worthy of attention, care, respect, dignity, access, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Your humanity gives you that worth, and nothing anyone says can take that away from you.

The body is not an apology! Get your body out there doing summer things you love!

Swimwear is more exposing than any other clothing most of us wear in public, and showing off more of our bodies than we normally would is intimidating for many of us. But concern over how your body looks in swimwear should never stop you from doing something as enjoyable as going to the beach.

When I was asked to do the “Body Issue” for ColorBloc Magazine], my only request was that my rolls, lumps, and curves were put on display. I LOVE MY BODY, even when I don’t think I do. You may not believe it, but your purpose in life is SO much greater than shrinking your body as much as possible, to impress others.

We ALL have a purpose but it’s hard to KNOW yours and REACH your FULL potential when you’re constantly…

😳 restricting calories
😳 preoccupied with weight loss
😳 heavily focused on your appearance

When you live this way, you’re compromising YOUR own joy and living for others. That’s completely unfair to you.🙅🏾‍♀️

I’m passionate about this because my life used to be consumed with obsessive thoughts about food and restricting my calories. I hated my body, and all I wanted was to be someone else. I thought being smaller and losing weight would give me the joy I was looking for in life but I was wrong.🙅🏾‍♀️

I’m thankful for learning about intuitive eating, because it helped me get out of the toxic diet cycle. If I hadn’t given it a shot, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I wouldn’t be living in my purpose and the thought of that makes me so sad.🥺

Sis, I’m sharing all of this to say that YOUR purpose in life is ALSO so much greater than just shrinking your body to impress other people.🙌🏾

Don’t be afraid to follow YOUR bliss, YOUR passion, and experience YOUR LIFE to the fullest.🔥

You can’t do all of that on an empty stomach!😜
