Just wanted to highlight our classic Joiful Blend. The go to, nice and easy, smooth and creamy, everyday drinker.

And why is it spelled the way it is? J, O, and I are the first letter of my name, my wife’s, and my oldest daughter. We’ve had a second daughter but I couldn’t find a way to incorporate A into it so we’ll keep it to Joiful.

And what’s in the blend? It is always 50% Mexican, 25% Guatemalan, and 25% El Salvadoran; which is what our kids are too.

So if you want to play it safe and want something you know you’ll enjoy, just keep it Joiful.

We have the perfect coffee to enjoy the beginning of spring with, our Ethiopia Red Honey Danche. And you can save $3 on it this weekend!

We’ve always been a fan of honey processed coffees but this is our first from Ethiopia. There are four levels of honey processing; white, yellow, red, and black. The longer the fermentation, the darker the fruit. The red is on the more fermented side while still being fairly clean.

This coffee is vibrant and floral. We taste flavors that remind us of raspberry jam and melon flavored candy. It makes for a light body with a winey note from the honey fermentation. Brews are aromatic and we find floral notes like rose. Overall you get a light and tasty cup.

Highlighting one of our new coffees: Mexico - Finca Fatima

This washed coffee from the Veracruz region in Mexico has a typical sweet and creamy body. But also has a more fruity and acidic side. It has a sweet body with a rich dessert notes that feel like you have chocolate cream pie. There’s also some soft fruity notes. Nothing too powerful but something that reminds us of a sweet, soft pear. There’s also a lingering rustic tone similar to a raw pecan.

Givette Pérez Orea is the women who runs the farm Finca Fatima. She is a multiple Cup of Excellence winner with different types of cultivars, like this Marsellesa. Finca Fatima is committed to quality, biodiversity, and sustainability. No chemicals are used on the farm and they focus on rebuilding soil health through production and application of organic fertilizers.

We have two new coffees for y’all! A washed coffee from Mexico and a red honey processed coffee from Ethiopia.

The Mexico Finca Fatima is a rich, mouthful coffee with notes of Chocolate Pie, Pear, and Pecan.

The Ethiopia Chelbesa Danche is light and smooth with notes of Raspberry Jam, Melon, and Rose.

Different profiles, both equally as tasty. We’ll have more information on both online and posted soon! And we’re trying out some white bags for now.

I figured after three years I should probably show my face on here. My name is Ozy and I am Promesa Coffee. This started as a hobby that transformed into a “business” but is really still just a hobby. I roast in my house, 800 grams at a time, and sell under cottage food law. I first started this thinking it could grow into something bigger but have realized what it takes to be a large, successful company. I have a family including two daughters I need to support, and a full time job that roasting coffee could never replace. I like trying good coffee, I try my best to buy good quality green beans, and roast it to a profile that I think is best. I sell it for what I think is a very reasonable price; basically just the cost of the beans, bag, labels and a little labor charge. I hope you like my coffees and I appreciate every single order. As long as you keep buying, I’ll keep roasting.

Order the first batch that will be roasted this weekend so it’ll be ready to drink Christmas morning. And use code “Feliz” for 15% off through 12/14.

Trick & Treat is our first co-fermented bean and we thought it’d be perfect to drop on Halloween week. This was a tricky bean for us to roast but produces a special treat if you like something crazy and different. If you haven’t had a co-fermented coffee just know that the flavors are no joke and are very strong. You’ll instantly notice a familiar grape candy smell from this one. It reminds us of grape hi-chew, tootsie roll, and rolos. Overall it is super juicy and sweet, and really is a special treat.

Please note that this is offered in 150 gram bags. We feel that’s enough for most people since it is such a strong flavor. We don’t feel like we got the perfect roast for this one so we’re pricing this coffee very low.
