I haven't been around much, as I have been working on life in general and in setting up the farm page.

While I am not shutting down this one, I will be focusing my energy on the farm page so please give me a like over there!

I am still taking commissions so keep me in mind for custom craft jobs you might have.

A quick hello and introduction! Sugar Cookie Ridge is made up of Dave, Amanda (me, who will be your guide/storyteller), and our little farmyard of 7 Nigerian dwarf goats, a grab bag of poultry, a stray cat, plus our indoor pets.

We got started on our adventure over a year ago here in NW Ohio with a handful of chickens and a couple of ducks. The bird numbers have fluctuated as we have decided ducks aren't for us, as we raised some birds for meat, and as we figured out which breeds we enjoy having around.

This year we took the plunge, after a ton of research, and got into dairy goats. Back into them in my case as I grew up with large breed dairy goats.

Aside from the animals we have a lot of varied interests. Dave is an avid fisherman, loves hunting, gardening, and anything outdoors related. I am an animal person, crafty, creative, and frugal. Together we can and preserve much of what we grow and catch.

So, be ready for posts and photos that run a wide range from just animals to animal husbandry, hunting, fishing, crochet, gardening, canning, baking, dehydrating, etc.

It is hard to get nice photos when the weather is kind of dreadful, but I did my best with this lovely set.

Custom baby blanket and matching pair of headbands along with a card.

I am over the moon with how this set turned out!

Oh hey!! Worked this up as a sample, need to work up pricing if there is any interest.

Gotta rework gauge so it works for intended purpose... to hold your beverage on a cold night, but it works for ice cream pints in this form!

Variegated teal/aqua/white set has already been claimed but I had to share just how pretty it turned out!

Grey and neutral is also already claimed but I adore how this pattern works up.

Hat season has arrived!

Sometimes it surprises me how slightly different yarn can equate to such a change.

Pom free hat is large child/tween size and is available.

Light hat with white pom has a home and teal pom is for me... sometimes I have to make something for myself.

Moe needed a friend... Moe got hit by a super-sized ray and got mega... Mega Moe.

They are just creeping around adding to the Halloween vibe around here.

Been busy working on a custom order along with trying to get the bounty of my garden canned up but I have had time to get a few small projects finished up too.

A little monster to help me get into the Halloween vibe and I had to jump on the bandwagon to make a little something for my furry friends.

Now that our chicken adventure has settled down (if having 60+ birds is "settled"), I have been trying to work on some more goodies... in between canning sessions. Hey, I am a multi-tasker. ;)

Mermaid inspired market bags in bright and pastel. Both are currently available and I have some other color combos to work up when I am finished with an order. These are great for the grocery store, farmer's market, beach, library, or a daily carry. $25 plus shipping

A special order for a new teacher friend.

She was going to order a playmat from Amazon but thought of me!

This was a first on many levels. A lot of new stitches, combined sewing, and items. Along with binding a book.

Buckles, velcro, tying, buttons, a zipper, and lots of texture!

Hi everyone! I am still here, still creating but not as actively as I would like to be. My creative flow hasn't been what it should be... but this apron signifies what I have been up to.

Chickens and more chickens with a sprinkling of ducks and a pair of turkeys.

My girls aren't laying yet, thus the happy colored fake egg props.
