Grove Lake Bait Shop Located 2 1/2 miles north of Royal, Neb., our bait shop is one of a kind. The bait shop offers all your fishing supplies. Its worth your time to stop and see us!

The long western-style porch's seating has hosted years of local, state and world issue discussions. Although not one issue has been solved, you won't find a better place in the world to discuss what comes to mind over a cold beer. Including shiner minnows, chubs and home-grown fat, juicy Night-crawlers. In addition to the bait shop, we offer RV camping, electrical hook-ups , a cabin, and showers.

With a short stroll down the porch you will find yourself wondering into the artistic creations of Randy Erb's custom chain saw sculptures. Across the road, you have 2,000 acres of state hunting and recreation ground to explore, which is home to White-tailed deer, turkey - both Merriam's and Eastern's - to help complete your North American Grand slam hunt, Pheasant, Quail, Dove, Raccoon, Fox and Coyote, Beaver and Muskrat. Everything you could want to hunt or trap. Grove lake itself, is a 50 acre lake that still holds the state record Blue-Gill and held the state record Northern-Pike. In it you will find crappie, large mouth bass, perch, catfish and, if you are dedicated enough, maybe you will hook a state record Northern Pike, take back the title and go down in history. The lake is fed by the Verdigris Creek, the only Grade A cold water stream in Northeast Nebraska. Once a week the creek is stocked with Rainbow Trout, but don't be surprised if you hook into a native Brown Trout - just consider throwing it back! If you venture up stream a little further, you will run into the Trout rearing station where kids can feed trout of all different sizes

So as you can see, the quiet, peaceful and surreal Grove Lake area is a great get away spot.
