Here’s a sneak peek of the process that created the piece that ships out today 👀 (full pictures and process to come out when the table gets to its new home)

This was my first time using hand tools on a project and now I’m addicted! Just need to find a better spot for the camera so it doesn’t move it away from the work area when I use the mallet 🔨

Check out this gorgeous walnut, maple, and padauk charcuterie board with an epoxy inlay! Three siblings reached out to surprise their mom with an awesome Mother’s Day gift! The turquoise ‘B on the front and a special message from the kids on the back was the perfect custom touch.

One of our more recent customer orders - a charcuterie tray! We used cherry wood with two strips of curly maple to provide some contrast within the board, but not so much where it would take away from the inlay our customer wanted to celebrate a birthday.

Throwback to our Mother’s Day post last month and this awesome pool sign!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there!! 💜🤍 We hope every mom gets a celebration that mirrors how hard they work each year for their families.
This sign was ordered by a son wanting to surprise his mom in the best way he could think of: a custom sign that she can hang up in the new poolside bar. After some back and forth, we settled on the design in the third picture for the final product.

One of our first projects as an official LLC! This time around the customer ordered an end grain cutting board 🔪 🫑

While end grain cutting boards look beautiful, they can be tricky to make. These kind of cutting boards need to have all four sides of each section - left, right, top, and bottom - perfectly flush (no gaps) with the adjoining section next to it to ensure that the glue-up will properly dry. If they aren’t flush, then the glue-up won’t be as strong, and the board could crack or even break in the future.

In honor of Earth Day last week: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 🌎♻️
Our first piece of furniture turned out amazing! In keeping with the mantra of Earth Day, we reused a dead Ash tree for this sofa bar table. As you can vividly see in the 3rd picture, this piece of Ash had sadly, been eaten alive from the inside by a group of Emerald Ash Borer’s - more specifically their larvae. This invasive insect, originally from Northeast Asia, are running rampant in North America killing hundreds of millions of Ash trees since the early 2000’s.

We used - without any pigments - to encase this live edge slab and preserve the intricate patterns left behind by the larvae of the EAB. After de-molding, we used a slab flattening jig and 3.5 hp router to ensure the table was flat on both sides and ready for finishing. After sanding and finish, we capped it off by adding black pipe legs to match the design of the basement where the piece now resides.
