The bag ban starts statewide in Washington on Oct 1st. All single use plastic bags are banned, and paper bags will cost the shopper 8 cents each. My reusable bags are sturdy, and machine washable!

A tracking update on the cotton webbing I need to finish up my RBG Dissent bags shows an arrival delay, which will mean a delay in my shop update. But, I did have fun today making some cute hang tag additions to attach to the RBG Dissent bags when they're complete, as well as extra tags for the Pride bags I already have listed in my shop - $2 from each Pride bag sold will be donated to .

Coming soon to Etsy... water filter bags - holds the Katadyn "BeFree" and 3L Hydrapak Seeker combo, or the Sawyer Mini (including squeeze bag and back back flushing syringe). Still need to test fit the Sawyer Squeeze. First Aid pouch has room for two Epipens (name brand or generic) and small baggies of medications. Water filter bags weigh 8 grams, first aid pouch weighs 7 grams, and the ribbon loops are big enough for a small caribeaner (not included).

I did a marathon of jam making over the weekend, and had to run out to the store at one point to buy more sugar, pectin, and jars. I was able to carry my 10 pound bag of sugar (and six boxes of pectin) back to my car in one of my reusable bags without any fear of stitches popping and the bag failing. My hands were full of the two cases of jelly jars I'd bought, since I'd only taken one bag into the store with me, so I was able to sling my heavy shopping bag over my shoulder to head out to my car without having to deal with a cart return. And because I've never yet seen a bag of sugar that does NOT leak, my shopping bag kept sugar from getting all over my car and was easy to shake out once I'd liberated the bag of sugar.

After two years away from etsy and sewing my canvas bags, I started sewing again in May. I've now finally got all of the fabric I'd collected sewn into bags, photographed, and listed on etsy. I still have several more prints sewn but in need of handles, and so many more fabric prints I want to buy to sew into bags, but it was time to get back onto etsy!

All bags listed in my etsy shop are finished and ready to ship, and (when possible) will mail in recyclable mailers.
