This panel is a fire waiting to happen. And half of Garland still has one.
Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels were installed in hundreds of thousands of DFW homes built in the 60s and 70s. The problem? Their breakers don't always trip when they're supposed to â meaning an overloaded circuit keeps running instead of shutting off. That's how house fires start. If your home was built before 1980 and you've never had the panel looked at, this post is for you. Share this with someone whose house was built before 1980. đ
