So. We have a confession. Back in May we said out loud, with the outside voice, that we were done posting Apollo 1.0 be**ers as we rolled out 2.0.

Well…we lied. Devin found some…so we’re gonna post them now!

This one is a special one. To be honest, I don’t exactly recall how we came up wth this color combo, since I have no record of us ever doing a set of be**ers quite like this one, so we’re going to say “Devin had some fun in the garage one day, and boom, the Teal Wave was born”.

When this one went live, Moonshot family member Nick Gutierrez instantly hit me up and said he had to have it for the tour he was working on, so we obliged and got this thing up and running in no time for him. There was only one problem, he wasn’t going to get it before the tour kicked off!

So enter our plan to meetup when he and the crew rolled through Austin, TX, and meetup we did! It wasn’t enough that this be**er was going to a member of the family, Nick had plans for this to end up under the foot of the newest family member, Mr. Vince Lirocchi () as he lays down the groove for the fine folks of 𝔓𝔗𝔐.

Vince, it was great to meet you, Nick, thank you as always for being one of the best parts about this process, and we’re stoked to see you guys rocking out for the remainder of this tour! Welcome to the fam!

It’s always a ton of fun to craft a set of be**ers for a friend, so when my buddy Josh Summerville hit me up wanting a set to compliment his new kit from the boys at Buck’s County, we knew we’d have a good time!

Starting with a blood red translucent base, Devin took a chance and blended this sinister hue with the new Galaxy Sparkle Pearl that he recently added to the pallet, and the result is absolutely stunning.

Josh also opted for the leather faces on these with the matching black payload screw, which in my opinion was the right move!

Josh, thanks again for joining the family my man, it’s great to have you on board! Stoked to see you put these through their paces!

A few months ago I had the privilege to meet the newest member of the Moonshot family, Mr. Charles Reid IIi (c3.ondrums) after he sent a message wanting to get his own set of customized Apollo’s.

Having just announced Apollo 2.0 soon after, I knew he’d be all about that extra power in his sound - we just needed a look to complete it all.

Starting with an homage to our favorite “blue balls” be**er that debuted last year, Charles wanted to step it up one notch with a simplified logo design for his name, a classy “C-3” in silver that pops against that killer blue swirl.

Charles is a monster of a musician, and a great guy all around, and we couldn’t be happier with him on our side. Thanks again for trusting us with your vision my man, and welcome to Moonshot!

One of the awesome things about Moonshot is that we have a lot of firsts. There was the first time that we did a polyurethane be**er, the first time we put a logo on a be**er, and now for the first time we’ve done a “balanced” pair - blending the light and the dark, yin and the yang, the black and the white.

Drawing inspiration from Star Wars, with a little bit of that pirate life, this beautiful set of pearls was crafted for our good buddy Kyle Ortiz () to perfectly highlight the balance in his life.

With one be**er, you have the deep depths of the sea, with a little bit of imperial black pigment to add a little spice, and a black stainless rod to maintain that sinister feel.

The other, a pure, white pearl, the pure essence of perfection and beauty in the sea, and in the light side of the force.

Without a doubt, this is one the coolest themes I’ve ever had the pleasure to see come to life - a fitting theme for a dude who lives life balanced.

Kyle, thank you again for your trust in bringing this to life, it’s been a privilege to get to know you over the last few months and I am proud to call you a part of the Moonshot family!

Sharing the gift of boom has been something that we have truly enjoyed over the past 2 years and when we have the chance to do something special for someone, we relish the opportunity.

Such was the case when new friend of Moonshot Jones (.e.jenkins) hit us up for a special birthday present for his brother, Mr. Dalton Jenkins (). Inspired by his teal fade Mapex kit, Jones wanted to keep the feeling of that color scheme but put a Moonshot twist on it.

Using a few pigments and a pouring technique that he hasn’t done before on a be**er, master craftsman Devin was able to reverse fade the be**er to match up with Dalton’s kit perfectly!

Finished off with the brushed stainless rods and the polished payload screw, these classy Teal Monsters (Devin wanted to call them Green, but you know…copyrights…) are certain to be a hit on and off the kit.

Jones, you’re a legend my man, thanks for trusting us with your vision for your brother!

Dalton, welcome to the Moonshot family, it’s great to have you here!

Surprise post for this week.

These beauties that were made for Mr. made it back to Moonshot HQ for a little refresh before the next tour cycle.

With updated steel rods, a pair of full-lume afterburners, and a quick clearcoat touch up and polish, these bad boys are ready to go!

It’s always nice to revisit some old friends, so to get a family photo in on this one was a lovely treat. Looking forward to seeing them back in action soon!

We might be a day late due to the long holiday weekend, but it doesn’t mean we didn’t come out swinging this week!

As much as we love seeing everybody’s awesome logo designs, it’s sometimes nice to sit back and let the colors that our clients choose speak for themselves. In this case, we got the opportunity to revisit a color that has become a popular selection in the Moonshot shop since you just don’t ever see it that often.

Inspired by his own paint selection for his home studio, wanted a classy set of be**ers that felt deep, rich, and royal when he sat down behind the kit. Not to be left behind though, he opted for an upgrade to the titanium shafts to keep the weight down where he didn’t need it and all the punch of the be**er head where he did - a truly killer combo!

Aj, it’s been great to work with you on this set of be**ers, I’m stoked to see you put them through the gauntlet! Thank you for joining the Moonshot family!

It’s always enjoyable to work on a caption for our be**ers because each one holds a story that is as unique as the be**ers themselves.

In keeping with the traditional, this weeks reveal is a stunner from our latest Mission Commander, Mr. Johnny Concannon ().

Pulling inspiration from 1980’s resto-mod GMC pickups and vintage Galaxy Sparkle Ludwig’s, Johnny wanted something classy and timeless that spoke to his love of old-school vibes and good times. With a translucent black base, and a copious amount of galaxy sparkle glitter, “Yo Unc” is as classy as the man himself - Moonshot Unc, that is.

They set marks the first production version of Apollo 2.0 and carry the official MDC-001 and 002 designation, making them truly the start of a new era for Moonshot.

Johnny, as always, it’s a pleasure to work with you and call you part of the family. We are so excited to see what you do with these moving forward, and thank you for being one of the best parts of the Moonshot Team!!

With the launch of Apollo 2.0, we knew there would come a time when the final original be**ers would no longer be posted on this page.

So to celebrate, today marks the final time a brand new set of Apollo 1.0 be**ers will be posted, and we decided to send them out with a bang!

In what we dubbed “Metallic Nights, this set of be**ers not only evokes the sense of an emerging, colorful, night sky; it pays homage to some of the best parts of our original line of be**ers.

Selecting the individual parts was a task that our boy was all too happy to do, and the end result is stunning. From the blue and magenta be**er head streaked with silver metallic, to the gold payload screw, and the insane flame anodized shafts, this set is one of a kind and is a fitting send off for the be**ers that has carried us through the first 2 years in existence.

David, thank you again for trusting us with your vision to create something special, and we appreciate you being part of our family. We’re looking forward to seeing you put these to use, and we’re proud to say that you have the final set of Apollo 1.0.

05/04/2026

If there’s one thing we’ve learned in the last two years since starting Moonshot, it’s that you must be open to evolution if you want to improve upon anything.

With that, allow us to introduce an evolution in the Moonshot family, Apollo 2.0.
_
Building upon the already popular Apollo chassis, Apollo 2.0 retains 100% of the functionality of the original design, but with several, key improvements in the performance, playability, and durability of the original be**er that we have sold over the past 2 years.

So what did we change??

1. Overall dimensions are slightly larger than before, allowing more material room for Devin to craft something special.
2. BLACK STAINLESS RODS - we now offer (for a slight upcharge) black coated stainless rods!!
3. A revised washer design that allows us to customize the look of your be**er further, and keep the payload more secure under intense playing.
4. MORE WEIGHT- 2.0 is now 10g heavier than before, with a near 60/40 weight distribution to the face of the be**er when empty!
5. The most important change - a larger, beefier core - to prevent the “tail tear out” failures that have come on occasion with the 1.0 design.

Right now, pricing for Apollo 2.0 will remain the same as before, with a small pricing revisions coming soon as we work through the customized options for the new washer and black stainless rods.

It’s not a revolution, it’s an evolution. We can’t wait to see everyone rocking Apollo 2.0 moving forward!
